NOTE: As a prerequisite you will need SQL query skills. If you are not familiar with SQL then you should use the Custom Report Method provided in the earlier section.

First you must provide your external IP address to Illuminate by emailing a helpdesk ticket help@illuminateed.com by going to www.ipchicken.com. In the title please indicate "BI Tool ODBC Access."

Note: You cannot connect to your database until Illuminate opens up your IP address.

You will be provided credentials to direct ODBC access and you can connect via PgAdmin.

Begin by downloading either the Windows or Mac version of PgAdmin:

To connect PgAdmin to the Illuminate database, click the plug and complete the following:

Name: (Select any name, such as Illuminate) Host: Provided by Illuminate Port: Provided by Illuminate Username: Provided by Illuminate Maintenance DB: Same as Username Password Check the box to “Store Password”

Click “OK.”

Click the SSL Tab and select "Require"

Download PgAdmin
