The "BI Tool" refers to deep and powerful integration between the Illuminate application, JasperReports Server, and Jaspersoft Studio. Jaspersoft Studio is a powerful eclipse-based, open source report designing tool that allows you to build custom reports & data visualizations that you can then install in Illuminate and share with other users.

BI Tool reports automatically respect student/data visibility, which means you can create a single report and safely share it with the entire organization, allowing each individual user to run the report on demand and slice the data using dozens of pre-built filters. The data is live, so whenever any user runs the report, they are getting up-to-date, real-time data.

BI Tool reports can be viewed directly in your web-browser or available for export in PDF and Excel formats, and can be shared with users as determined by the district.

TWO METHODS OF REPORT DEVELOPMENT:
