Tutorial 1: Aggregate and Visualize Your Data

In this tutorial, we will:

• Collect a data point (just about any data point will do)

  • any assessment score (SBAC, PARCC, CELDT, SRI, SMI, STAR Renaissance, any local assessment, any data in summary assessment, etc.)

  • number of absences (by Session / Grading Period)

  • etc.

• Categorize the data into buckets/groups/levels/performance bands etc.

• Aggregate the data (by Site / Ethnicity/ Grade Level /Program, etc.).

Objective

Using what you learn in this tutorial, you will be able to create reports like this one:

*Note: I'll show you how to filter out the "Not Tested" or the students without data should you choose to do so.
