Step 4 - Duplicate the Blank Template. Link Your Data Adapter.

• Open the Illuminate blank template/report starter in Jaspersoft Studio (JSS)

  • You can download the blank templates/report starters here:

    • Blank Template - Landscape

    • Blank Template - Portrait

• With the template open in JSS, click File > Save As to create a copy of the template

• Name your report

Next,

• Click the "Dataset" icon

  • Located above the report canvas, next to the "+" magnify glass

  • Icon looks like a stack of hard drives

• Select the data adapter you just created

  • Click the little triangle next to "One Empty Record" in the top left hand corner of the window to select your data adapter

• Click Read Fields

• Click OK
