Step 11 - Install & Run Your Report

Before you install your report,

1. Make sure that your report runs without errors in JSS.

2. Save the report

Upload the Report to Illuminate

• Login to Illuminate

• Click Reports Menu

• Select Create a New Jasper Report

  • If you don't see this option, your Illuminate System Administrator needs to enable the following permissions:

    1. BI Tool

    2. Create Jasper Reports

    3. Share Jasper Reports

• Enter a Title for your report

• Click Choose File button next to "JRXML"

• Select the jrxml file you have created:

  • On a PC, follow this path:

    • C: > Users > «Select your user folder» > Jaspersoft Workspace > MyReports

  • On a Mac, use the search bar in the top, right-hand corner

    • Search for: "MyReports" (no space)

• Select the custom report that provides the raw data for your Jasper Report

• Click Save

Find Your Report

On the List Reports page, search for your report.

Searching for your Report

Users often have trouble finding their BI Tool reports for two reasons: 1. BI Tool Reports are Prebuilt reports, not custom reports 2. The author of BI Tool reports is always District, not the user who installs the report.

Tips:

• Make sure you are not filtering your report search for Custom Reports.

• Make sure you are not filtering your report search for "Author: Me".

• BI Tool Reports will always be Type: Prebuilt and Author: District

Run Your Report

• On the List Reports page, search for the title of your report.

• Click View in Browser
